A Little About MeHello and welcome to my website. My name is Ronald Carter and I'm a science teacher at Atwater High School. I was born in Merced and live in Atwater for most of my life. I graduated from Buhach Colony High school and then went to Willamette University where I earned a B.A. and majored in Biology. I came back home after graduating and took more classes at C.S.U. Stanislaus, trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I worked in the private sector in a few different labs and then tried my hand at being a substitute teacher. I enjoyed that so much that I decided to go to Teacher's College of San Joaquin to earn my teaching credential.
Outside of class I also coach football and track. I enjoyed competing in both those sports in high school and was able to continue playing football in college. I enjoy being outdoors and exploring the wilderness as well. Now that you know a little about me, I'd like to say I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and to our journey exploring and understanding how the natural world functions around us. |
